ELIGIBILITY
Minimum 10th pass from recognised board.
English must have been one of the subjects
Medically fit (eye vision + or – 2.5 allowed) with no colour blindness
Age 17- 25 years
OVERVIEW
The training program is designed for the candidates who are desirous of perusing career in Engine category in merchant shipping and ought to become Marine Engineer or Engineering officer.
COURSE OUTLINE
Familiarization with Engine department of the ship, Types of Engine, Types of pumps, Fuel system, Maintenance & operation of Machineries, Rebuilding an engine, Machinery in Engine Room, Purpose, Location and Basic working knowledge. Carry out watchkeeping duties as Engine Room Rating, Safe working practice related Engine Room operations.
CERTIFICATES PROVIDED
Student after successfully accomplishing the training program will be awarded with the course certificate, by the academy approved by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface and Transport Govt. of India. In inclusion to the above candidate will also receive INDOS and Indian CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate)
